This store is located very close to my house and I have visited this place several times. This is not the only Firstcry store I have visited. I have visited other branches too in Chennai and I have been satisfied everywhere else. This particular store is huge and there is lots of parking space for both bikes and cars.
The quality of the products sold are good and reliable. Especially, I am very much satisfied with Firstcry’’’’s toys as I can trust the toy’’’’s quality and give it in my 10 months old son’’’’s hand and let him chew, bite, throw and play with it. Even the clothes and shoes I bought at Firstcry were of good quality and lasted long enough.
The reason I have given such a low rating even after being satisfied as mentioned above is, this store is always empty! Before lockdown (March 2020), the store had very less stock of all products like clothes, footwear, toys, and other accessories like breast pumps, feeding bottles, baby bags, diapers, creams, potties, cribs, etc.. Whenever we went asking for a some product, it was never available. They didnt even have "Baby on board" sticker to use in cars and we had to buy it from Adyar outlet.
After lockdown it became even worse! The store literally became empty. All the shelves were just empty as if they were about the to close the store permanently! Whatever we asked, they said stock has not come. All other branches in Chennai had stocks coming in within few days after lockdown was released, but I dont understand why no stocks ever reached this store alone. We went there to buy some toys, crib, potty, diapers, clothes, shoes, mosquito repellent and sipper for my 10 month old son. We were not able to find even one of the afore mentioned items during our two visits after lockdown. The store guy had the same reply for all products - "stock hasn’’’’t come due to lockdown", as if the store was overflowing with stock before lockdown! I wouldn’’’’t recommend this particular outlet to anyone who wants baby products. Visiting here is just waste of time as there won’’’’t be any stock at anytime. There are multiple other Firstcry outlets in the city that is much better than this!
