I recently remodeled my kitchen. The drawer dishwasher seemed a good idea given its location. The surface is easy to clean. The programs take a little bit to learn.
I would not recommend this unit for a household full of small children. The buttons are too easy to figure out. My grandson age 1 1/2 has already figured out how to unlock the buttons. My grown children jokingly refer to the unit as my dish rinser.
It was not designed to clean heavily soiled dishes. It only has a washer arm in the bottom of the drawer. The unit has a filter under the rack that catches food particles. This filter tends to get clogged. This unit would be best for empty nesters. It allows each drawer to be used independent of the other. It is also a bit pricey at $1200. If you have hard water pay a little extra for the unit that comes with a salt softener unit. This unit requires you to scrape and rinse thoroughly before use.
