Fisherman’s Cove belonging to Taj Group of Hotels is a beach resort on ECR road in Chennai. Nice ambience being a beach resort, my favorite restaurant in this resort is the one which is right on the beach.
You enter the Fisherman’s Cove, cross the reception, would see a bar restaurant, cross that, cross the swimming pool and proceed toward’s the beach, would see a sea facing restaurant, have buffet dinner over there and would never forget the experience.
You can visit the private beach of Fisherman’s Cove before having your food, which in itself would be an experience. The beach is landscaped in such a fashion that the sea wave water retains on the beach for a longer time before going back. Its a real pleasure to wet your feet in this water - I would rate is as the best beach in Chennai. You can relax on the couches and chairs available over there on the beach, for a while and then proceed to have your food.
The most attractive part of the restaurant is the sitting arrangement. Table around a coconut tree whose trunk is fully covered with ropes and a lantern hanging from top. A unique experience to sit around a coconut tree and have your food!!!!!!!! The food, no doubt is good (after all its a 5 star) you would have a variety of selections right from vegetarian to non-vegetarian, you just name anything and its there, available at your service.
Nice service, nice ambience - a fun filled enjoyment - an ideal location to spend a weekend evening.
Now here comes the cost part - the buffet is Rs.550 plus taxes per head - costly but worth experiencing it once in a while.
