Fitness First Oasis - Liars, Cheaters, Hippocrates

I worked out at fitness first oasis mall for 13 months and my experience is as below.

Cheats You WRT Fees.

a. When you go to the gym they ask you to pay a lump-sum amount. They will never disclose that the fee is inclusive of permanent lockers and towel fee which is actually optional. Both I felt was unnecessary however it is an individual choice to go for it or  not.

.

b. I paid 24K when I joined and I was told that I will not have to pay the membership fee of 2K and the card making fee of 500 when I renew the membership. The next year I went to renew my membership the sales guy asked  to pay 29K. I asked him "what does a new member have to pay?" and the sales guy tells me "29K." So I was like so what happened to the 2500 bucks which was one-time and he tells me that the policies have changed. huH!  When I started reasoning instead of even listening to me the bozo starts giving me gyan on inflation and how cost of living is increasing. My point is that if economy is being inflated and cost of leaving is hiking. I should cut out un necessary expenditure so I dumped the GYM.

No No for weight trainers

a. There are not enough dumbells, if you are into weight training you will have to wait in a queue to get your turn. By that time you would have lost all the heat.

b. Not sure about this but I think their dumbells are all in pounds so if u r showing off with 12.5’s please note you are lifting nothing more than 5.6KG(However this point may not be very accurate).

Bad policies

They have offers coming up saying refer a friend and get a month free etc etc. I have an experience where in I referred a friend, the sales guy told me that the 1 month was added. Towards the end of my membership I figured that the sales guy was absolutely lying and it was never added. So they made me run up and down to get it. In this process I had to speak to 5 different front desk officials, with each of whom I had to talk multiple times as they kept forgetting what I had told them the previous time and had to be on a call 5 times explaining the same problem. But at the end of the day I got the extra month however I do not think it was worth the effort.

Treats You like second class citizens

Say you are not on personal training and if you are a new guy and is working out, personal trainers come with their wards and ask you to stand down for them. They will say things like "Hey, he is on personal training so we dnt have a lotta time to wait" as if your time is not important.

False Commitments

When you approach somebody with some issue, they will keep committing to you that they will do it tomorrow or next week and their answers will remain the same even after a year. I have an experience where in I had requested these guys to increase the number of dumbbells and every time I approached them, they kept saying next week and that was their answer even on my last day at the gym.

Trainers

During my time there they had some good trainers and a lot of bad trainers.

Names of some good trainers who were or may be are there historically are

a. Milen Vijayan(The guy who taught me pretty much everything I know about working out today), b. Wazir(Nice guy who is always ready to help), c. Chengappa(He knows what he is doing, a good choice if you are planning to go for personal training), d.Riju(Fun guy who is always ready to help), e.Dev(Physio trainer knows his stuff, motivates people well), f.Santa(Knowledgeable and helping nature), g. Niren(good to people but not sure on his skills)

The Bad Trainers

These guys are available in all shapes and sizes and they are available in truck loads, they have no clue on fitness or working out, when you are doing things the right way they come and screw it up saying you are wrong and will show you wrong methods. You call them for help they don’t give a damn.

This GYM is overpriced, their people are unethical and they have no respect for customers.

THEY ARE A BUNCH OF CUNNING VIXENS WHO KEEP SMILING TILL THE GREEN PAPER KEEPS GOING FROM YOUR POCKET TO THEIRS.
