Fitoor a melodrama

FITOOR(meaning madness for something or someone)

To begin with, the title "Fitoor" there is nothing maddening or crazy in the film that  The film had all the ingredients to make it a grand love story.

As is quite clear from its title, Fitoor(Obsession) is a love story.

Starcast:Aditya Roy Kapoor, Katrina Kaif, Tabu.

Description:Thirteen year old Noor falls in love with Firdaus, daughter of Begum, the wealthiest woman in town. As their potential romance grows despite their class issues, the vengeful Begum plots retribution on their young and innocent love.

What happens to Noor’s obsessive fitoor when Firdaus decides to marry rich Bilal?

Katrina Kaif, Aditya Roy Kapur and Tabu’s Fitoor is devastatingly beautiful, thanks to director Abhishek Kapoor’s portrayal of Kashmir in it.

It offers beautiful frames and great disappointments.

Drama and a superficial love story are some of the road blocks this great looking film that captures the beauty of Kashmir does not live up to the great expectations attached with it.

Aditya Roy Kapur’s and Katrina Kaif’s performances are solid, Tabu is spectacular.

Aditya’s great performances In a Kashmir of moonlit snows, mist-filled houses and golden leaves, Noor(Aditya) falls in love with Firdaus(Katrina), daughter of eccentric Begum Hazrat(Tabu), who lives, covered in diamonds, in a castle of chandeliers and chintz.

The film is painfully slow in the first half. In more than an hour it just establishes the fact that Noor(Aditya Roy Kapur) and Firdaus(Katrina Kaif) make an unlikely couple.

Scenes in the movie are great. Songs of the movie are good.
