Mohabbatein
Three cloying love stories, confrontation between a Hitlerish styled martinet and a harbinger of Mohabbat (love) with everything happening too fairy to be credible is what Aditya Chopras Mohabattein all about. But then there is certainly a limit to the sweetness ones taste buds can sustain.
The insurmountable wall of discipline and regulation for last 25 years bind Gurukul a seat of education, so much so that the poor students are not even allowed the spartan luxury of music, fun and frolic. And things dont change here because the Principal, Narayan Shankar (Amitabh Bachchan) doesnt like changes happening. What an anachronism!! And all this in the name of upholding the values, heritage and the culture that Gurukul boasts about. To plunder the discipline comes the harbinger of love Raj Aryan (Shahrukh Khan) who has an agenda of infusing love and Mohabbat in Gurukul. And his ammunition, the love affairs of three students of the school and his also in the backdrop with Aishwarya Rai, who incidentally is the daughter of Narayan Shankar and commits suicide when her dad throws out from the school the student whom she had fallen in love with. And the boy is Raj Aryan!!
So its a kind of revenge not with vengeance but with love and for love to prevail over austerity. The Big B definitely proves heavier than Shahrukh Khan in melodramatics and rendering the intensity to the role but Shahrukh Khan is not left much behind. Among the new comers, Uday Chopra and
Shamita Shetty leave some impression; the rest of the lot is just passable. The most awaited film of the year, Mohabbbatein, prevent you from getting the feeling of Boringbattein.

JOSH
JOSH tells the story of two rival gang. Inspired by an English film, titled WEST SIDE STORY,
Shah Rukh Khan and Sharad Kapoor are the leaders of their respective gangs. Aishwary Rai, twin sister of Shah Rukh Khan falls in love with Sharad Kapoor?s younger brother Chandrachur Singh.
WhenShah Rukh comes to know about the romance between Chandrachur and Aishwarya, the fight between both the gangs turns more violent and how the conflict resolved forms the crux of the film. The enmity between both the groups is established at the very outset and the execution of these scenes are treat to watch.
The first half of the film is enjoyable and generated high expectation from the second half. But second half of the film is not up to the mark and this is where one looses the interest. The interval point is among the highlight of the film. The depiction of livelyrelations between a brother and a sister is a novelty.
Peformance-wise, Shah Rukh Khan shows once again his versatility as an actor. In one workd- he is ?superb?. Aishwarya Rai looks stunning (as always!) and lives her role to perfection. Sharad Kapoor springs a pleasant surprise and perfromace with confidence. Chandrachur Singh is first rate too. His performance is sure to be appreciated by one and all. Priya Gill has nothing much to do. Other supports well. All said and done, JOSH is a sure shot winner.
