For me it is the touch and feel of the fabric. Going by this I have always preferred Color Plus, The attributes of their wares get you tempted in buying them.
Other than that what I basically look for is the cut of the garment. Different brands have subtle variations in their styling. This is purely my opinion and what I have noticed after some usage.
In the given frame work there are very slight and subtle variations in the major brands like, Van Huesen, Louis Philippe, Allen Solley, Arrow, Park Avenue. Mind you, I am naming only those which aim their products at the work environment and Corporate citizens.
Coming back to Color Plus, I am tempted to use the cliche’ - they seem to know the pulse of the customers. The various lines they have come out have created the impulse in me to go for them. Of course there have been few which I really didnt go for.
To sum it up, Color Plus gives you the feel of being well dressed without having to flaunt the label or insignia.
With the purse as one factor, my brands in mens dressing and accessories would be something like this.
