Carharrts: Carharrts are great. They look good Dirty, they look good patched up, and they are tough. They’re also damn sexy. You can wear almost any kind of shirt with them.
Dickies: Dickies are great too, because they’re tough and cheap. They are like dress-up Carharrts. I’ve worn them to fancy occasions. You can wear button-down shirts or sweaters with them.
Goodwill: isn’t really a brand, but you can get tons of stylish, well-made cheap clothes there. At least 3/4 of my wardrobe comes from Goodwill. And remember, I’m 25 and hip.
Duofold: is a sub-brand of some clothing company. You can get them from Campmor.com. The Duofold brand is applied mostly to thermal underwear, underwear, and t-shirts, I believe. I wear Duofold polypropylene thermals under my t-shirts in the winter so I can wear my favorite t-shirts in colder places, and I wear bottoms under my pants because my legs get cold easily in the winter. There are different weight thermals available. Quality is high-they take a beating.
LL Bean: not totally my style(a little too formal and stiff) but their clothing is made really well. I like their nylon shirts and down vests. I also like their dressy waterproof walking shoes. They are nice enough to wear to a job interview, but totally waterproof.
Remember, when you buy NIKE, you are mostly paying for the swoosh and the label. NIKE products cost pennies to make, and the company exploits un-unionized workers.
