When it comes to fashion and teenagers I’m sure you all have heard the saying “I want that too mom”. I hear that all the time from my 13 and 16-year-old boys. They see their friends wearing the really nice expensive cloths and then they have to have them as well. We tend to shop at 3 major stores in our town, this is where they say all the best name brand cloths and shoes can be found.
First on the list you have to have something that is Nike. My kids love this brand of clothing; their shirts and shoes are always Nike name brand. I don’t know if they just like the big check swish that goes with this brand name or if its just the high price that they ask you to pay for the products. I tend to allow my kids to buy the more expensive shoes because I think it is worth the price I pay for them. The quality of Nike shoes is great, and I don’t find myself having to keep buying sneakers all year round. Nike has mostly t-shirts; I haven’t seen any really nice dress shirts from this name brand. So I guess my kids buy NIKE for their casual wear. We tend to find all our NIKE products at our local JC-Penny store.
Old Navy jeans and shirts are on the list next. My kids love Old Navy Jeans, and their jeans are sturdy and last long. They have many different styles and colors to choose from in the jean section. I find that if I buy the higher priced jeans they also tend to last longer. I don’t see the knees ripping out sooner then in the regular jeans you buy at your local K-Mart or Wal-Mart stores. I like Old Navy more then I like the NIKE products. Now with Old Navy you can find some really nice dress jeans, and shirts. They don’t just sale sport or casual wear.
Arizona I can find this product in JC-Penny’s as well, I like this cause I can find most all my kids cloths they like in one store. Arizona cloths are all different; they have girls and boy’s jeans, shirts, and dress wear. They are not as expensive as NIKE or Old Navy cloths, but they do hold up to wear and tear. I buy my daughter lots of cloths from this brand every year for school.
Adidas, is another great name brand product. My boys like their shirts, and they like the logo on it. They have a thing about the saying of what Adidas means. They tend to say it means “ all day I dream about sex”. J I know it doesn’t really mean that, but the kids like to think it does. Adidas also has great shoes; my kids buy them sometimes for their sports.
Sliver tab jeans, now those are I believe the most expensive jeans I have bought yet. I paid over$50.00 dollars for just one pair of jeans for my son. The only thing you are really paying for is the name that is on the back pocket. Silver tab has many different styles in jeans, and this is good cause I have two picky boys and they each like different styles.
Those are just the top 5 name brand cloths that my teenage son’s have to have each year for school and Christmas. When my kids were smaller I didn’t have to worry about the name brand cloths, they were just happy with any cloths. But now it’s a whole new story. I do have to say I don’t really mind so much having to buy these name brands because I feel I get more for my money. I wouldn’t want to keep buying cloths every 3 months just cause they wore out and with these name brands I don’t have to worry.
