Wear ur attitude

Diving straight into the topic:

FORMALS:

Well as of now, my personal fav is Allen Solly in shirts, especially their’uncrushable’ section with svelte colours like black, brickish-red or maroon, mellow yellow .But when it comes to a simple elegant white coloured ones nothing can beat Louis Phillipe interms of its smooth finishing. If one would like to deviate a bit from plain colours then Polo has quite a selective range but well not easily available. When it comes to trousers a limited choice especially if one is looking for genuine perfect formals, with parx’n Van Huesen offering some decent range.

SEMI_FORMALS’n CASUALS:

This is one section where the choices are simply mindboggling’n  truely complies with any international standards. If one can blend it perfectly the wear can vary a wide range from a typical officially formal look to a more casual appearence.Eventhough Lee is more identified with jeans but their shirt section is truely brilliant’n my personal choice, closely followed by Dockers’n very lately Provogue. If one would scale down a bit, there r even more choices like from Scullers’n Indigo Nation.

Well I’m looking fwd for something new from Tamarind, so look out for this.

As for trousers well the revolution started by Peter England, has now opened out with unlimited choices, ’n very little to differentiate between them. The new range from Flying Machine(well not confuse again with denims) with more on causal flavour having flat front’n parallel fit is really kool. The other crispy ones r Arrow’n Pepe. If u r looking for more of casual well Live-In is a new one which has a wide range with lots of trendy designs.

Finally I believe in checking out all of’em before picking up the right one as all of them will keep updating every now’n then’n there may be soemthing good in some other brand next time.

T-Shirts:

Is another section which is woefully short of good Indian brands especially if u r looking for some elegant ones. For a plain orthodox looks good monotonous choices by Lacoste, ’n again for plain sportish looks but with some simple designs there is Nike, Adidas, Reebok’n sometimes Pantaloon, but one thing that puts me off here is, one looses out on uniqueness as there r many T-shirts sporting the same look’n can be stereotyped as to where u bought it. But if one is looking for more trendy bright peepy looks there is diesel, but if one is fortunate enough to shop abroad with money to splurge around nothing can come even near to the zapping looks of Versace’n Calvin Klien, which can never go unnoticed if u r wearing’em.

But if one is in B’lore there r some selected shops which’ve some good trendy ones at Identiti, Ffolio, Fashion Flash’n so one, but a bit pricey .

Shoes:

For sport shoes without saying Nike’n Reebok rulez, with one outclassing the other every now’n then. For shoes that can blend with both formal’n casual wear, woodlands is the only one option available. If one is looking for more of formal then a good ones but not a wide variety from Gaitonde.

So the choice is good but very few’n limited .

Suits:

When it comes to this section no brand can come nowhere near the Italian brands.Well I dont possess any of’em but based on my window shopping exp in Milan’n Paris’n my personal dressing sense.I was frankly zapped by the smooth elegance, fine finishing’n slick cuts’n designs of Armani, Versace especially the black ones which has such a wide variety that it can suit even a brattish rogue image to a senior executive .The other colours apart from black that screams class is something of light choco-brown, greyish-green from Ralph Lauren is equally classy. But ultimately it is the sinfull price tag that squashes all my desires.

Well if u come back, there is very little to choose between any of those displayed on the shelves of Shopper Stop, so hardly makes any difference .

Sunglasses:

Rayban was the only branded one in India so far, but I feel it is woefully short of choices’n a bit hyped up. I feel even Police’n other ones were much better than this one.If u leave the cost factor apart one cant simply be awed by the choices available in Gucci, especially the latest one with light green shades.

Finally I believe more than the pricey brand names, the basic traits needed for that smart gentleman look is to emphasise on sparkling clean, neatly pressed pair’n smell clean with fresh looks’n rest follows

So any more personal suggestions r surely welcome.
