Death Note is about a very intelligent japanese student who gets to lay hands upon a "Death Note" which is dropped into the human world by’Shinigami’ or Death God. You just have to write the name of the person in the Death Note and imagine how the person looks like and the person will die in 40 seconds. Now, the whole world panics when one after another, criminals start dying by heart-attacks. Catching the Killer or "Kira" is a near impossible task as there is no evidence or clues in the killings. The most famous detective in the world who is anonymous takes interest in the case and then begins the pyschological war beteen "L-the Detective" and "Kira- the Killer". Its worth watching by everyone who is interested in Thrillers, Detective, Suspense and Intellectual kind of shows. Once you watch two to three episodes, you cant leave it! Its a running story so the episodes have to be watched one after the other.
Avataar has captured the highest viewership ever for any show on Nickleodeon. Its about 4 tribes -Earth, Water, Fire and Air. The Earth Tribe people are called Earth Benders and they can bend earth. Same goes with other tribes. The graphics used in this series are fantabulous. Avataar is a person who can bend all the four elements. Anyone fascinated by "Action" must definitely watch this. The characters, animals, beasts etc in this show have been created through inspirations from Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings etc. Each episode can be watched independently though there is a running story weaving all the seasons.
Full Metal Alchemist is another action-packed series. Its full of alchemists who can convert one element to another. Full Metal Alchemist and his brother are the protoganists who incur major losses to their bodies when doing the forbidden act of trying to bring their dead mother back to life. Their sole objective in the life becomes to obtain the "Philosophers Stone" which will help them regain their bodies. The fight sequences are very good reminds one of movies like X-Men.
He-Man and Spider-Man are my all time favorite cartoon shows. The protoganists are epitomes of morality. They can be watched any number of times by anyone!
