Believe it or not I still watch cartoons on Saturdays, however, now that I’m an adult I have a limited interest in cartoons. I watch two cartoons weekly I enjoy the heartfelt messages they leave for young children to learn. I enjoy cartoons that leave a very important lesson for childhood growth, a positive direction and focus on morality.
The special effects and sound effects are another fun element that comes with the antics of cartoon entertainment. The falls, screams, foot sounds, and the bulging eyes along with a simple laugher from a funny little animated character goes a long way. Cartoons really hasn’t changed that much I believe this new generation of cartoon creators, directors, and writers have just simply piggybacked from the golden past of delightful animation. Cartoons in this new age of animation have not lost their touch of entertainment, story sequence, special effects, and creative characterization.
My choice for the five best cartoons are:
1. Fat Albert and the Cosby Kids, was a very popular cartoon during the 1970’s its creator is Bill Cosby. In this delightful weekly serious a group of inner city African American boys always hung together, their favorite place was a tree house. Those little guys were always planning their way out of something or if they were not planning their way out of something they were always helping someone in trouble. Fat Albert and the Cosby Kids was a special cartoon because of its heart touching message of morality. Bill Cosby narrated this weekly series and he always wanted the audience (Children) to learn a very important lesson.
2.Bug Bunny who will ever forget this witty and coning rabbit. Bugs Bunny was another interesting and very funny cartoon character who just keeps you on the edge of your seat with laughter. This rabbit is witty and crafty, as he would always manage to outsmart his enemies. Bugs Bunny was also a wonderful animated series because it was not only a very funny program, but it refined and exposed young children to symphony, and opera music, how enriching.
3. The Pink Panther was very similar to Bugs Bunny except this character was an aristocratic pink Panther. In this weekly series the Pink Panther always found himself in a very strange predicament. Someone was always trying to get rid of him or trick him. But this witty and cool cat always outsmarted his adversaries. However, there was always an unexpected and unpredictable ending for this panther as well.
4. The Proud Family is another outstanding modern day cultural cartoon. In this weekly series the focus is on an adorable African American girl, Penny, and her friends which are of different races. Penny has a nicely racially mixed group of friends one is white, the other is Hispanic, and the other is an African American. Together this group of girls are great as friends they do wonderful things together, they learn together, and grow together.
5. Little Bill is also a very interesting and wonderfully done animated series. Its creator is Bill Cosby who also created Fat Albert and the Cosby Kids. In this delightful story Bill Cosby directs our attention to an African American family with very good family values. The adventure that this family endures together is very touching along with the heart touching appearance of a grandmother who lives with her family and grandson, Little Bill.
So there you have folks this is my choice of the best-animated television cartoons. Please keep in mind that some of these programs are no longer on regular television, but they can been seen on such cable channels as cartoon network, and any other cable stations thats devoted to cartoon programing.
Thanks for reading,
