Its so easy this time

This year its quite easy to pick the top 5 , as it was an awful year .More difficult to pick the top 5 worse movies than the top 5 movies.Even reliable directors like Martin Scorsese seems to have hit the purple patch with a terrible movie like ’’Gangs of NY’’ maybe he was eying the Oscar.

Anyway makes life easy to pen down the choices in no particular order:

1)Insomnia:

Al Pacino, Robin Williams and Director Nolan all lived up to their high expectations.I was eagerly looking forward for the next credit from this director after his Memento and he delivered more than I expected.

2)8 Mile:

As remarked in NY times: Eminem through this movie is doing to rap-hiphop what Travolta did to disco in Saturday Night fever in 80’s.

Hardhitting movie , addressing the basics of hip-hop and the background of outrage in lyrics of rap songs .Eminem had a golden run this year and silenced all the critics who had bracketted him along with Britney and other corny pop icons. All the soundtrack of this movie is just fab.

3)Austin Powers in Goldmember:

For godsake , Meyers, BEHAVE!! A shaggdelic movie and no introduction needed for this trilogy.A laugh by the second kind of a riotous flick.

4)My big fat greek wedding:

A kind of movie that you can watch in the videos on a lazy sunday afternoon with your family. Light hearted , funny and one of the surprise low budget box-office grossers this year.Dont miss this one.

5)Die another day

I just cant get enough of Mr Bond and his leading ladies, and this was no different.Slick and smooth , shaken and stirred .

Picking winners wasnt so easy as above, phew.

PS : Can anyone review the movie ’’The hours’’, I have high hopes from it.
