Visited Ramana’s at cunningham road, Bangalore on September 20, 2007 for lunch along with a friend. Ordered their business thali which consists of a soup, 3 veg dishes, a raitha [onion, cucumber in curds], roti/kulcha and a small bowl of fried rice.
The service was decent. My friend had ordered mushroom soup and I had ordered tomato soup. My friend did not like the soup and left it after tasting it a couple of times. Tomato soup tasted good with just a hint of salt being on the higher side. Roti was slightly hard.
Of the three veg dishes, Dal fry was off key. The other two were good.
Towards the end of the meal, I suddenly noticed a foreign object in my cup of raitha - a baby cockroach! I brought this to the attention of the waiter, paid the bill and left the place feeling a bit woozy and shocked.
