Viewing good Serials is my hobby. I view them with the eyes and ears of a critic. I also view them with the purpose of learning the essentials of acting, dialogue, body language, photography, set design, lighting, make-up and costume design. I do this, because I direct and produce plays.
Let me try to select the 5 Best Serials of the Year . The first one, which comes to my mind, is Suraag by Adhikari Brothers for its story and the suspense it creates. I never miss it on Mondays from 10 to 11 at night. Amitabh Bachchan’s Kon Banega Crorepati (KBC), produced by Star Plus, was my top attraction. I became disheartened when KBC was withdrawn from the Small Screen. Balaji Telefilm’s Kahani Ghar Ghar Ki and Kyunki Sas Bi Kabhi Bahu Thi are immensely liked by me because the two Serials , besides providing healthy entertainment, revolve around family life. Then there is an Oriya Serial Sakalara Apekshare produced by Urmi Communications. This one is second to none in India.
