Following r the serials that can lift anybody’s mood any time of the day for sure.These serials r light , whacky ’n perfect way to unwind, at the end of the day.Dont u think star , sony need to add a dose of humour ’n comedy to their prime time .Anytime I surf past these channels I see some saans listening to some gossip behind the doors or some domestic household shadyantra being planned.Anyway forget it , coming to my list , mainly concentrating on just the comedy sitcoms , my picks wud be:
Seinfeld:
Its comedy time everynite on Zee english , starting with this one.I was surprised to see that this serial isnt listed on MS at all!!! The main chars of this serial George, Elaine, Jerry ’n Kramer , but the supporting acts who r equally imp , will ’ve u in splits .I just keep wondering where the hell do they get those whacky one-liners .I really dont know how to sum up this serial or about its story line , bcoz it just deals with simple things in life that one doesnt pay much attention to or should I say on things one r so obsessed with !!!Anyway u gotto see this one to believe me!!
Friends:
I think, less , I talk of this one, its better.Absolutely no need for any intro on this one.Maybe this is the only englist sitcom thats as popular as any other regular mainstream hindi serials !!! The charecters ’ve become so synonymous with this serial that it looks odd when I see any of ’em in any other movie/serial in any other roles.Half an hour just flies , with those charecters that keep u egdy ’n corny!!!
Full House:
Another serial thats really underated ’n not so popular , but believe me its as hillarious as any other out here.It addresses various complexeties of the charecters ranging from naughty kids to sibling rivalry to a dad with my-god-how-to-handle-this-problem ’n so on , but unfortunately all locked under one one roof.Again I fall into this prob of wrapping up the pepiness of this serial with my words. The kids in this serial really steal the show as any other main charecters.Catch this on zee english every nite after friends at 11 pm.Wonder why this serail hasnt caught the imagination of the viewers?
3rd Rock from the SUN:
This is all abt a troupe of aliens who keep figuring the pecularities , ’n the complex nature of human life out on earth, ’n ultimately analyse the rationale behind it. The charecters r a heady mixture with imaginations ranging from mercury to pluto ’n with an equally confused commander-in-chief(by the talented John Lithgow whom u may ’ve seen him in ’’Pelican brief’’ ’n whole lot off movies) in control of ’em .The last scene where they perch upon the rooftop is absolutely the punchline that sums up the entire episode .
Dharma ’n Greg:
I have seen this only on Star World , but still the best episodes r the initial ones when the 2 , dharma ’n greg meet each other ’n decide to marry , much against the wishes of the stipp upper rich snobbish parents of down-to-earth greg .It just depicts that best things in life r shared ’n enjoyed when there’s a perfect chemistry between the person u like or love, ofcourse in its own wry humourous way.
I dont know why I left out ’’That 70’s show’’, ’’The cosby show’’ which sadly which is off the air now, but I ’m laughing my heart out remembering those episodes right now, ’’Wonder years’’, ........’n whole lots of ’em .Btw have a date with Zee english tonite!!!
