Sweet voice!

I like Sadhana Sargam not only for her sweet and excellent voice but also because she resembles one of my aunts!Sargam’s voice is so good and perfect for classical songs that her surname was something else earlier and was changed to Sargam by one of her Gurus.

She is the only female north Indian singer who has sung so many songs in South Indian movies and quite popular there and even got a national award for that.

Some of her worth listening songs are-

1.Banno rani…from EARTH.

2.Saat samundar par main tere pichhe pichhe aa gayi…was picturised on Late Divya Bharati and Sunny Deol, was a major hit at that time.

3.Jhin min jhini…from MAQBOOL.

4.Chupke se…from SAATHIYA.

5.Na kajre ki dhar…from MOHRA.

She has also sung some songs in JO JEETA WOHI SIKANDAR and WARRIORS OF HEAVEN, an international production.I wish and hope she sings more numbers in Hindi than in South Indian languages, most of the time she sings with A R Rehman and Ilayaraja.

She accidentally became controversial when her voice was compared to Lata Mangeshkar and Mangeshkar was apparently upset about it.
