5 best balls of the boy wonder

Hello again! I’ve  come here to write my 6th review and it’s a very interesting topic. Its about sachin’s 5 best wickets. I’m going to write about his 5 best wickets picked from both ODI and tests. So lets start the review right away with no further delay.

1. Bowling Moin Khan:-

This was a fantastic piece of bowling by the master. It was the 1st test between India and Pakistan, at multan. India piled up a huge total, thanks to sehwag and sachin, who hammered big hundreds. Pakistan had to avoid the follow on. Sachin bowled the last over of the day. Dravid was the captaining India in that match. He tossed the ball to sachin and asked him to bowl the last over of the day. Sachin accepted the challenge and bowled 5 tight balls. The sixth one was a googly. Moin couldn’t quite read the ball and got stranded on the crease while the ball went through his pads to disturb the woodwork behind the batsman. This is one of the greatest dismissals by a part time bowler and one of the few dismissals to happen on the last ball of the last over of the day. This is my all time favorite.

2. Trapping Warne LBW:

This was a classic leg spinners dismissal and he achieved this when it mattered the most. This was at the 2nd test at kolkatta where India scripted a remarkable victory the 2nd of its kind in history. After being forced to follow on, India came back strongly, thanks to the wonderful centuries by laxman and dravid. Our hero didn’t taste success with the bat in that test, but he sure did with the ball. He claimed 3 important wickets and laid the path to victory for India. He trapped gilchrist lbw with a big leg break, which brought Warne to the crease . sachin was clever to bowl a beautiful googly right outside the off stump. Warne had no clue about the ball, even though he was a classic leg spinner himself. The ball landed outside the off stump and struck Warne right in front of the stump. The umpire had no difficulties in adjudging that lbw. Sachin bowled beautifully to claim 3 important wickets. I always cherish this ball.

3. Bowling Lara:-

This was yet another beauty of a ball. It was the hero cup finals at kolkatta. India had an impressive run at that tournament. India faced the West Indies in that match. India had set a challenging total for the Windies. The Windies started off well. Lara was on a flourish, when Azhar brought sachin into the attack. Sachin bowled a beautiful delivery that swung in late to beat Lara’s defense and shatter his stumps. It was a classic medium pacers delivery. Our hero is a jack of all trades. He knows how to bowl leg breaks, off breaks and even medium pace. That wicket helped India win the match with much ease.

Was a classic delivery to dismiss a classic batsman.

4. Trapping Hayden LBW:-

This was a very good dismissal. Hayden was the most successful batsman on either side on that tour. He amassed centuries in almost each and every innings. He was raring with a century and I guess he had hit a double ton, don’t remember properly. Sachin was brought into the attack by Ganguly. Sachin started off with a few loose balls, but was right on track in no time. He shuffled his balls constantly not allowing the batsman to settle. Hayden struggled to play sachin for sometime. Sachin then bowled a tossed up leg break right on the leg stump and spinning in sharply. Hayden attempted to sweep the ball, but failed to connect the ball and as a result, the ball hit him right in front of the stump. The umpire raised his finger in no time. This dismissal was the turning point of the match. Sachin achieved something which even the main spinners weren’t able to do. A good dismissal.

5. Bowling Inzamam Ul Haq:-

This wicket was a cheeky one. Pakistan were chasing 282 for victory in this match. They were doing great with inzamam and hafeez scoring at will. Sachin came around the wicket for Inzy. He softened up inzy with a few slow leg breaks and finally pushed in a quicker delivery targeting the stumps. Inzy tried to run it down to fine leg, but completely missed the ball. Inzy was beaten for pace and the ball clipped the bails. That was a crucial wicket for India and in the process sachin went on to capture 5 wickets in that match. He didn’t shine with the bat, instead he showed his skills with the ball. Either batting or bowling, he makes his presence felt in some way or the other.

These were my compilation of the 5 best dismissals by sachin.
