Feels such a shame that the movies worth seeing are just cast aside by the public in general ... just because it doesn’t conform to the usual masala pics .. and then they cry that different movies are not made ... helloooo ... wake up and smell the coffee. They are being made.. just that you don’t bother to see the movies.
My top 5 are .. (and it can be contested)
Andaz Apna Apna : say what you want .. the movie was classified a flop by the grreat filmi pundits. Seriously, the movie is so funny that it sends us back to the days of Amol Palekar and his comedies. Aamir, Salman, Raveena Karisma and the greatest of all PARESH RAWAL !!! Just can’t believe it flopped considering how popular it is now on the cable circuit.
Lamhe : People just couldn’t understand the movie. Just tender emotions. It flopped just because people thought it to be absurd that a young girl cannot fall in love with a man who was in love with her mother.
Akele Hum Akele Tum : Another masterpiece that collapsed. Same reason .. no maar ghaad .. no masala. Single piece of advice.. see the movie, I guarantee it will change the way you live at home.
Khamoshi : Deaf and Dumb parents and a child who has the skill of singing. What more bigger an irony ??? Spectacular performances by all .. spoiled by only one thing .. Salman Khans’ shirts !!!
Mai Azaad Hu : Clearly one of the best performances by Amitabh Bachchan in his career... and who see it ? practically none. All of us who blame the political parties for not doing anything for the country .. just watch this movie and you’ll understand why things are not happening and why the only thing we hear are about scams !!!
