So, here I am with my favourite five movies, which DESERVED to be hit:-
1)LAMHE:-
Directed by YASH CHOPRA, this movie is my all time favourite. Starring ANIL KAPOOR & SRIDEVI (Double role), telling story of Human Sentiments & emotions & of course with a magic touch of Yashji, this movies even my best enemies can say should be a great hit, I should mention one thing here, the character portrays by Sridevi (mother & daughter) tells her how great she is, the ability to perform a mother & daughter role simultaneously in a same movie with a class. Kudos to her & who forgets the songs all having a class.
2)LOVE :-
Starring SALMAN KHAN & REVATHI, this movie rotates around Salman, a rebel who accused of murdering her father when he was a kid, I strongly feel that the emotions & acting Salman had performed in this movie, he hadn’t played such intense roles so far in any of his movies. Revathi plays a good supporting role, a remake of Tamil movie & the songs are reaaly good, SSATHIYA TUNE KYA KIYA, MY LOVE MERI PRIYATAM, are a must listen.
3)AKELE HUM AKELE TUM :
Directed by MANSOOR KHAN starring AAMIR KHAN, MANISHA KOIRALA. This movie based on values of life, sacrifices for love ones etc.
Bottomline: You can’t live a relationship with a selfish attitude (what manisha did ).
Songs are quite good: RAJA KO RANI SE, WHY DID YOU BREAK MY HEART & TU MER DIL TU MERI JAAN etc. are must listen.
4)DIL SE :
Directed by SHEKHAR KAPOOR, RAM GOPAL VERMA & MANI RATNAM, this magnum opus starring SRK, MANISHA & PRIETY ZINTA (debut). Revolving around present scenario in India ( militancy, what else). SRK a journalist cum RJ , manisha a human bomb ( she is a bomb) etc. This movie shows that love can happen anytime any place, irrespective what yr. Job profile is, songs are a must se & must listen, CHAL CHHAIYAN, DIL SE (title song), JIYA JALE JAAN JALE, etc.
5)KHAMOSHI- THE MUSICAL: -
Directed by SANJAY LEELA BHANSALI starring, SALMAN KHAN , MANISHA, NANA PATEKAR. Well, I really admire the movie subject, the agony & grief of Dumb & Deaf Peoples, really, We are so lucky God has given such things to us.
Nana played Manisha’s dad a dumb & deaf, Kudos to him what a character he played, really he is having immense talent Songs are really good HEY HUIYA RE, GAATE THE PEHLE AKELE, AAJ MEIN UPAR JAMANA NEECHE, ETC. ARE A MUST LISTEN.
WHY THEY FLOPPED:-
All the movies above are one-way or the other are important movies for them (i.e. LOVE, was second movie of Salman after MPK, though he played a nice character but somehow people can’t digest his role as rebel unlike a lover boy in MPK.), Lamhe after Chandani, where ANIL Kapoor shows without his trade mark Moustache & of course people couldn’t digest the subject at all. AHAT, A Mansoor Khan Film (better known for QSQT) it got so much media attention that it got bombed in his first week.
DIL SE:- Well, when three biggest directors of India joined hand, than the product should be of World class quality, so lot of expectation made it flopped.
Khamoshi, well the biggest drawback was Nana playing a mute character, while he is best known for his vocal abilities (Dialogues etc.).
