I am a rock fanatic and I simply hate pop. So my choices are obviously going to be the soft ballads instead of songs like Quit Playing Games, As Long as you love me types.
So Here are my five choices in random order:
1. Wonderful tonight - Eric Clapton I can say, I will stop writing reviews if anyone, who has listened to the song can say my choice is poor. It is a beautifully carved song by the soft voice of Clapton and the soft and slow guitar. It is the best song man. Lyrics are wonderful especially these lines -
I feel wonderful because I see
The love light in your eyes.
And the wonder of it all
Is that you just don’t realize how much I love you.
2. Always Somewhere - Scorpions If it is a ballad, it has to be scorpions. This is a beautiful song with heart touching lyrics like Always somewhere miss you where I’ve been and I will be back to love you again. The melody in this song is perfect for a candle light dinner and the voice of Clause Maine has the love and pain. Trully a winner for the purpose of proposing to your beloved.
3. I would Love you to Want me - Lobo
You told yourself years ago
You’d never let your feeling show
The obligation that you made
For the title that they gave.
Do you think these lyrics won’t make an impact on my beloved’s heart. I feel they will. This song is simply marvellous. Beautiful voice, lyrics and a perfect tune. Surely a winner.
4. Everything I do(I do it for you) - Bryan Adams Not exactly my favourite but perfect for the occassion. The song is a bit girlish and I am sure if will be liked by her:)
5. Nothing’s Gonna Change My Love for You - Glenn Medeiros
My personal favourite for the occassion. This is one of the very few songs which can be called as truly romantic. Very soft music, soft guitar, soft drums and above all a soft voice(which is a perfect combination for a highly romantic evening) empower these powerful lyrics -
If the road ahead is not so easy,
