Five More Minutes
My wife of only 15 months, passed away on
September 15, 2001. She was 37 years old and
not only was she my my wife, but my best friend,
my Teacher, my student and my world.
If I could have 5 gifts given to me, it would be
very simple. I would only ask for 5 minutes of time
to say all the things that I’ve said to her before,
just one last time.
Minute ONE: Just to tell her how much I appreciated
her grace, style and putting up with me.
Minute TWO: To re-inforce my belief in her as a woman
and a person.
Minute Three – To tell her how much her family,
friends and I will miss her. How much she was loved
and respected by all of us.
Minute FOUR: To hold her in my arms, hug her,
kiss her and tell her how much I loved her and
how I will ALWAYS love her.
Minute FIVE: To wish her eternal peace and comfort.
May Catherine rest in peace.
All of a sudden, there aren’t enough minutes left.
Please convey these thoughts to your loved ones
before it’s too late. You can never know what will
happen next. Regret, words left unspoken and deeds
left undone will haunt you forever. I was
fortunate enough to be able to convey all of the
above to my “Cat” before she passed. Please don’t
miss any opportunity you still have to express
yourself.
