My five gifts

This is a toughie for me, actually.  I’m not very good at asking for gifts.  I’m always the one who is on the lookout for gifts for others. Although I’m notorious for forgetting anniversaries and birthdays, I love to buy things for other people

Christmas and birthdays are a nightmare for my family. They always seem to have a list of things for me to choose from, and I always have trouble making such a list.

So. I’m going to officially make this list and then send it to my husband and daughter!  I’ll get to kill two birds with one stone.

1.  A Dake’s Study Bible.  This is a different translation from the New King James Version that I normally use, and has some great annotations for those who do a lot of biblical study or who teach Bible classes, as I do.

2.  A gift certificate to the local Michael’s Craft Store. I love making gifts for others, and making things for my home. I’m an obsessive cross-stitcher, and this would be the perfect way for me to restock my supplies and get things I’d really like to have.

3.  A gift certificate to my favorite local nursery.  I’m a gardener at heart, and am always on the lookout for something new and pretty to add to my gardens.

4.  A gift certificate for a pedicure and a massage. My family says I don’t pamper myself enough.  I got a certificate two years ago for a massage and I loved it!

5.  A new bottle of Bijan cologne.  This is my one rare expensive gift to myself and my bottle is almost gone.
