I always wanted to write a review on this topic and finally after doing a lot of thinking and short listings I am agreeing to the final 5 songs shown below.
The first one being my all time favorite, I don’t know how many times I have watched this movie just because of the song and I am damn sure that none of you will believe me If I tell you that I gave this song to all my last 3 girl friends recorded on both the sides of the cassettes and yet I am going to have an arranged marriage ......sob... sob... sob...
So here goes my all-time favorite songs list.
*1. Kehta Hai Pal Pal Tumse, Hoke Dil Ye Deewana.
Ek Pal Bhi Jaane Jaana, Mujhse Door Nahin Jaana.*
Movie : Major Saab.
Singer : Udit Narayan and Anuradha Paudwal
Music : Anand Raj Anand
Actors : Ajay Devgan, Sonali Bendre.
Ajay Devgan and Sonali Bendre making promises to each other for a beautiful life time together, never wanna let go of each other in any circumstances, very well shot songs with lots of damn good sites. Looks real cool. Although the music is picked from Enigmas title song but still it’s a treat to watch - very meaningful song.
2. Jabse Tumko Dekha Hai Sanam, Kya Kahein Kitney Hain Bechain.
Movie : Damini
Singer : Kumar Sanu
Music : Nadeem Shravan
Actors : Rishi Kapoor, Meenakshi Sheshadri
Rishi Kapoor while driving his Jipsy, dreaming about meenakshi. He sees her sitting on the bonnet of his Jeep, crazily in love with her. Another treat for lovers.
3. Humko Sirf Tumse Pyar Hai.
Movie : Barsaat
Singer : Kumar Sanu
Music : Nadeem Shravan
Actors : Bobby Deol, Twinkle Khanna
Bobby Deol telling twinkle khanna that he lovers her, another song shot on the great hills (I don’t remember what part of India this movie was shot) but it is worth watching. Song is too good to be missed.
4. Kitna Pyar Tumhe Karte Hain, Aaj Hamein Maloom Hua.
Movie : Ek Ladka Ek Ladki
Singer : Kumar Sanu
Music : Anand Milind
Actors : Salman Khan, Neelam.
Our good Old Sallu Bhai singing this beautiful song for Neelam after realizing after loosing Neelam that he cannot live without her.
5. Kabhi Shaam Dhale Tu Mere Dil Main Aajaana.
Movie : Sur
Singer : Sunidhi Chauhan
Music : M.M. Kreem
Actors : Gauri Karnik
This is more of a Stage / Recording show, but the kind of expressions Gauri has shown during this song are terrific, music is too good and it really looks like she herself is playing the violin.
If given a choice I would have made up a list of minimum 20 odd songs, which would have been considered my all time favorites from the current movies, but hey, we have to sum up the best 5 only, So I will stick to these fives as my favorites.
Ratings and comments are more than welcome.
