This review is based strictly on the fact that purely good looks do NOT count! Being a guy it’s hard for me to rate another guy in this category just on the base of looks. The guys in this category should have an overall strong PERSONALITY, and loads of CHARISMA, that is able to inspire guys to dress and carry themselves like these actors, and at the same time attract ample of the fair sex! Yet, since this category also accounts for purely good looks to some extent, I have to include some of the people who even might not have an amazing personality!
That’s being objective, yet HANDSOME is broad---it applies to a wider range, and as said before includes personality, charisma, and then good looks as a criteria. Besides, when I picked top 5, I had easily found an exactly equivalent and similar structured counterpart of the same person. So I had 5 pairs of similarly HANDSOME people, thus the top 5 will be listen in PAIRS! #----------5----------FARDEEN KHAN/BOBBY DEOL: These are two starsons who have inherited things like personality and charisma from somewhat successful parents, especially Bobby from Dharmendra!
While both of them also sport looks of foreigners, and dress up in designer suits most of the time, their personalities are slightly different! While Fardeen doesn’t have an amazing physique, and mostly sells via his gifted face, Bobby is the pure Punjab da Puttar with Italian looks (quoted from another MS user) Bobby, unlike Fardeen, looks bred in Punjab, not in the West. He has an amazing physique and matches it up with foreigner looks. Overall personality thus is higher for Bobby but since Fardeen’s charisma also lies in the way he carries himself off and manages to remain in news (unlike the reserved Bobby), we have a perfect tie between the two. Both of them, to end, are truly Handsome people, no doubts. They might not be supermodels or Greek gods but they certainly have the looks that work the way our criteria works! #----------4----------DINO MOREA/ARJUN RAMPAL: Now Dino and Arjun are two very similar people. They come from the same field (super-modeling), they have the same builts (obviously that of Greek gods), and both, despite their giftedly amazing good looks, are not so successful in Bollywood thanks to ordinary personalities. Both of them are seemingly dull people in the media who can’t just create a sensation. This also limits their charisma. But since being objective, both of them are supermodels and have stand-out looks, I rate them above good looking non-models like Bobby and Fardeen! #----------3----------SAIF ALI KHAN/SHINEY AHUJA: The two suave guys make entry on the second runner up spot. While Saif has become more and more graceful over the years, Shiney has a very fresh look to himself that has become his charm. With both these guys charming their way towards so many fans, there is no doubt that their place in this countdown is very well-secured. #----------2----------AKSHAY KUMAR/HRITHIK ROSHAN: The two macho men of Bollywood. Akshay and Hrithik are the symbols of masculinity in Bollywood. They surely inspire guys to work out, become macho, and act strong. Both of them have amazing builts and physique to their credit. Add to it the female fan following they have, which easily represents the popularity of their good looks. Both of them truly define the word HANDSOME, especially as per OUR classifications in this review. Their charisma is multiplied by their success in the industry (another top 10 actor material duo at this point in time)! Way to go guys, our runner up spot thus goes to this pair of equally matched macho men! #----------1----------ABHISHEK BACHCHAN/AMITABH BACHCHAN: The father-son duo simply steal the show in this category. Both, to me, have charisma in equilibrium, have strikingly similar personalities, the same structure, and the same way of success in Bollywood. Since Abhishek’s initial failure can simply be attributed to this very reason (comparison with his father), their overall success and personality and charisma shouldn’t be compared. PROPORTIONS should be developed. Since AB sr.’s initial part of the career was also a failure, both can be compared. Then, since AB sr. quickly rose to fame with hits after hits, AB Jr. does the same with 4 hits in 11 months (Dhoom, Bunty Aur Babli, Sarkar, and Dus)! Now AB Jr. too has best supporting actors plus a STAR OF THE YEAR MALE award from last year to his credit! He is certainly following in the footsteps of his dad by becoming a success just the way Senior Bachchan became. Therefore both can compare at least indirectly, especially after Sarkar where they both did amazingly in their own respective ways! If AB sr. overpowered then number 1 and his senior Rajesh Khanna to become number 1, same can be said about AB Jr. whose unexpected race to the top has quickly brought him in the top leagues to intimidate his counterparts! This fact proves that Abhishek too has charisma aplenty, which in AB sr.’s case is needless to say, after all one line sums it all---he’s the STAR OF THE MILLENIUM. That’s it, heavy charisma and personality right there, same for Abhishek. This father son-duo inspires guys big time (they are truly DASHING and STYLISH!) and attracts female attention instantly. So they are sharing the number 1 spot on our countdown! Do comment, captain!
