Here’s my take on underated actors and actresses in bollywood I would like to start my review with the actresses and first on my list is
urmila matondkar she started her career as a child artist in film masoom and her claim to fame was ram gopal verma’s film rangeela but unfortunately , more than her acting, it was her dressing, which was given a lot of attention . As a result , amir and jackie walked away with the credit . Later on, she did film judaai, she was fablous in this film and again it was sridevi who took the credit .After a long gap she returned with ram gopal varma’s film pyar tune kya kiya she was awesome in this film but this film failed to work at the box office .She did films like ek haseena thi and bhoot , delivering brilliant performances
yet she is one of the most underrated actresses in bollywood.
Another actress on my list is
former miss universe sushmita sen she too is a wonderful artist she started her career with film called dastak which unfortunately did not give any dastak at the box office door after that she did some regular films and this too flopped .She bounced back with david dhawan film Biwi no 1 which was her claim to fame for which she won award for supporting actress then series of flops followed. she did an item song too in film fiza mehboob mere which became popular this song did not help her career . But that did not stop her from accepting strong roles .she went ahead to prove her talent with films like aankhen , paisa vasool , filhaal and vaastu shastra but none of this films worked , untill and unless, film main hoon na happened to her career and surprisingly , audience went gaga over sushmita in this film where the only thing she did was to look beautiful, sing and dance and that’s it . she is often compared to ash but sushmita is lot better than aishwarya when it comes to acting on one hand ash is over rated actress for doing nothing on the other hand , sushmita is underrated actress
juhi *chawla
even this actress did not get her due in bollywood inspite of delivering good performances in films like arjun pandit, daraar, duplicate , mr and mrs khiladi and recently teen deewarien .At one time ** juhi and madhuri were considered as rivals perhaps juhi recieved tough competition from madhuri . yet , she managed to give brilliant performances but the fact is she is the most underrated actress in bollywood .
Raveena tandon she is good actress , she performed very well in pathar ke phool which was her first film . she was fablous in films like satta and **andaaz apna apna
Lastly ex miss universe and actress lara dutta , she has done few films she has performed very well in films like Masti and No entry ** and when u compare this actress to priyanka she definitely is lot better than priyanka who doesnt act but overacts Just like ash sush here priyanka is overrated and lara dutta is underrated actress
And among the actors
anil kapoor is the underrated actor he was superb in films like Taal , no entry , ram lakhan , virasat and recently released film salaam e ishq
Govinda best known for his comedy roles and no 1 films too never got his due in bollywood inspite of delivering brilliant performances in almost every film from hero no 1 to salaam e ishq
another actor in my list **is
Jackie shroff *
he started his career with film hero it was hit later on did many films which turned out to be disasters as for performances he has done good job in films like rangeela , one two ka four , mission kashmir and Eklavya
and also I would like to include Sunil dutt he was wonderful artist of his times but never got his due in bollywood and vinod khanna he too never got his due, inspite of delivering good performances in films amar akbar anthony and muqaddar ka sikandar .hope u guys would like my review
