Five Point Someone is one of my most favourite book although till yesterday I was fed about it by my friend and co-review writer Callkrish a.k.a Ananth.Yesterday my mom got it and boy I couldnt take my eye of it and finished it at around 10:20pm awesome for someone like me who sleeps at 9:00 and maximum 9:30.Five-Point someone revolves around the lives of three next door boys HariKumar-a fatso without an aim and goal in life, Alok-another fatso with a aim in life to support his poor family and Ryan Oberoi the cool guy who says he cares for his friends more than his parents! All the three had been toppers and had made it to IIT Inida’s premier technical education institution with good ranks but fail miserably in the first semester each garnering a 5 point something which is poor according to IIT.Alok breaks away from the group but later returns after a dramatic event meanwhileHari falls into love with Neha Cherian daughter of the HoD of Mech Engg in IIT and desperately wants to do well in the INDem subject handled by Neha’s dad to impress him.Ryan offers an idea to these guys who also agree but the plan bombs and whatever happened happened that could be explained only by Chetan’s masterly art of story-telling.There are also the elements of Bollywood with its own dose of bad words and fights and ofcourse lots of sentiment when it comes to fatso Alok.Hats off to Chetan and looking forward to One Night at the Call Centre.
