Ah! those were the days

A fun read.

Almost anyone who has gone to college in India can associate with it.

Love, life, pals, idyllic hostel life, exams, vodka, smoking-up... its all packed in there.

Its about firends and friendship. Of sticking-in and standing up for ur pals.

Being a rebel. Not following norms.

Discovering yourself.

Being yourself.

It starts of by these young ppl getting admissions in to IIT. From there on the events take them on to a whirl-wind ride.

How they go about life in IIT, Professors, exams, domestic troubles, lady love.

How they manage it through thick and thin.

How they fall apart.

How they pick up the pieces and forge them together.

But at a certain point in the book, things really take a turn for the worse (for the characters). Now I admit all things cant be happy and gay (pun unintended) forever but things dont turn soooo bad. College life is fun, infact its a celebration.

A truly nice read with lots of humour rolled in.

Kudos to Chetan Bhagat.
