While I hate to label someone as a good or bad actress, there are some babes in our Bollywood who just can’t seem to get it right... even by fluke. Trying to come up with a list of dumb belles is not as strenuous if you just reflect on that nightmare decade in Bollywood, the 1980s. This was a decade when everything about Bollywood had reached its nadir…. the movie plots, the actors, the music, the lyrics, the choreography … you name it.
Therefore, five worst Bollywood actresses easily spring up from this horror-decade. So here goes….
- Mandakini.
Whorrorrrr….. you had seen all in her first film……then there was nothing. Atleast had she been smart enough to repeat the waterfall acts in her subsequent films, maybe she would have pulled on for some more years. But then… what luck…Mandy had put on weight (remember Tezaab and her black swimming costume…Egad! No wonder Madhuri got a spring-leap in her career after this movie!)
- Kimi Katkar
Same as above…. Jane had shown it all in her Tarzan movie and there was nothing else left to show. No histrionic capabilities remotely in sight… and add to that, a shrill voice and a total lack of grace in her movements, Kimi was absolutely the pits.
3.Neelam
Irritating in the “cho chweet” category…. Neelam started out in the college gal “mode” and carried on the same through her 30s (the peak of her irritating act was in Star Plus “Ooh la la”)
- Sangeeta Bijlani
“Bijli”, as she was sickeningly called by the glossies, had an amazing talent … keeping the same expression in any situation.
- Sonu Walia
Squint, squint, squint…. She was a Miss India too. God, what standards they had then! Luckily she made a quick exit. Like the first 2, she too relied heavily on body exposure to pass off as acting (Aakarshan with Akbar Khan….shrieeeek shrieeek)

Of course, the other decades do have their share of bad actresses too. I am not qualified to comment on the 50s and 60s actresses (I wasn’t born then…lol). So the remaining…

•Kareena Kapoor (I did not particularly like her mom) – I’d just love to give this brat a tight slap when she pouts
•Sandali (is that a name or a footwear?)Sinha (in case you are not aware, just watch (or watch out )Tum Bin… she had 3 hunks falling for her….all with poor eyesight, I’m sure)
And worst of the lot.....hold your breath…
•Amisha Patel.She’s a lucky babe with 2 big… er…hits, but she can’t act to save her life!
