Free Servicing - don't go for it

I read couple of messages on free servicing and to be frank, don’t go for free servicing.

This will not give you any advantage as you think that you are going for free servicing so you are maintaining your bike in a good condition.

At all servicing stations free servicing (FS) is just pouring water on your sweetheart and changing the oil ( needless to mention low quality and charge as if they replaced it with the best in class oil).

But free servicing is good only if you are planning to sell out your bike in near feature.

I faced the same problem. I gave my Yamaha135 for free servicing and some how while driving back I found that the fork has a big bend.

But they were not ready to agree this and I had to spend around 1000 rs to fix that.

So after that whenever I feel like my sweetheart needs some servicing I take it to the average road side mechanic and it works fine for me. Also dont think that roadside mechanics and no good. Mind you they are far better that the showroom mechs.

Also dont ever ask your servicing station to change the oil for you.

Go to a oil shop pay 10-15 Rs extra get the best oil and use that.

This helps you keep your bike’s machine working for long time.

I strongly recommend not to go for a free servicing unless you are in a small town and you have time to watch ur bike while its been serviced.

Otherwise be ready for a 2 Lts loss of petrol, some surprise part damage which they’ll say that they have replaced which will cost 500 Rs. and more :(

Hope this will help you.
