Every year has some crap films - to kill the viewers softly.....atleast they are useful for writing reviews on them.
1) LAL BADSHAH
Producer: K.C. Bokadia
Director: K.C. Bokadia
Music: Aadesh Shrivastava
Starring: Amitabh Bachchan, Manisha Koirala, Shilpa Shetty, Amrish Puri etc
Well, one of the come back films of a legendary actor - the Big B - Amitabh Bachan. What can you expect? Anything. But what you get is nothing more than some junk. The magic of Amitabh Bachan is missing from the movie and the two heroines Manisha Koirala and Shilpa Shetty looks worse. Amitabh acts in a double role as a father-son team.
The father role suited him better and he has done a wonderful job, but the age didnt seem to be allowing him to do the sons role. You can see a wasted Manisha Koirala as a life insurance agent who falls in love with Amitabh (what a match? the age difference doesnt seem to be a problem any more) and Shilpa Shetty, who seemed like she was nothing in the movie and keeps on showing some vague expressions from the beginning till the end. If this is all she could do, what is she doing in the movie? The most impotant question is why did I see this movie?
2) SILSILA HAI PYAR KA
Producer: N.N. Sippy
Director :Shraboni Deodhar
Music: Jatin Lalit
Starring: Chandrachur Singh, Karishma Kapoor, Danny, Johny Lever etc
Karishma Kapoor comes back with another idiotic performance (after giving two years relief to the viwers by staying out of the movies) with Chandrachur Singh. The bespectacled Karisma (Vanshika) is given the task of bringing hero Chandrachur (Abhay) to be more interested in doing his work. They had been studying in the same college where this stupid girl was a huge fan of Abhay (She has to be blind or crazy to love a guy like this one who is just jumping and dancing with all the girls and has most of the worst hobbies). Well, she makes him a good guy at the end.
The crew performance is not the best, but no one can blame them as the script was one of the worst. A story which can be told in less than five minutes is made into a movie to kill the viewers at the rate of about hundred times an hour or may be a minute. I was forced to see this movie as my cousin took it home and there was no other movie CD. A very unfortunate moment it was.....
3) BADE DILWALA
Producer: Shakeel Noorani
Director: Shakeel Noorani
Music: Aadesh Shrivastava
Starring: Sunil Shetty, Priya Gill, Paresh Rawal, Archana Puran Singh, Sachin Khedekar, Satish Kaushik etc
I heard that Bade Dilwala is inspired or should I say copied from the 1994 Hollywood film ?It Could Happen To You. I have to say that this one is worse than the usual Bollywood love stories. Ram (Sunil Shetty) is a cop who lives with his wife Manthara (Archana Puran Singh) who is a hair dresser, and his daughter Anthara. Manthara is always dreaming of becoming rich and pay much attention to her daughter or Ram. One day Ram is paying his bill at a restaurant and he doesn?t have the money to pay the tip to the waitress, Priya (Priya Gill). But Ram had just purchased a lottery ticket worth Rs 5 crore, so he promises Piya that if he wins, he?ll give her half.
Ram wins the lottery and keeps his promise. Mannubhai (Paresh Rawal), one of Manthara?s clients stands with her for the money against Ram who was getting closer and closer to Priya as Manthra was after the money and didnt care for him or the child. Hey, I just found the source of head aches. It is the movies like this!
4) AARZOO
Producer: Vikas Mohan
Director: Lawrence DSouza
Music: Anu Malik
Starring: Madhuri Dixit, Akshay Kumar, Saif Ali Khan, Paresh Rawal, Amrish Puri etc
One of the worst movies of Madhuri Dixit. She plays Pooja falls in loved with Vijay (Akshay Kumar) who dies later in a plane crash. But the problem is that the heroine is pregnant (What a timing, even better timing than Sachin Tendulkars shots) which may rather called pyar ke aakhri nishani. Well, Amar (Saif Ali Khan), her childhood friend agrees to marry her (with the child - it is free). The problem is that the dead man comes back alive (Undertaker was better as he stays in his grave). The movie has such a beautiful story that even the dead men are forced to run from their grave.
Now the story twists, here, there, somewhere around the corner etc. The movie fails to recreate the great movies created by Akshay - Saif team like Main Khiladi Tu Anari and Tu Chor Mein Sipahi. Bakwaas is a less word for this film. Only one or two songs helped to relieve the blood pressure this movie will give you.
5) INTERNATIONAL KHILADI
Producer: Keshu
Director: Umesh Mehra
Music: Aadesh Shrivastava
Starring: Akshay Kumar, Twinkle Khanna, Rajat Bedi etc
Why are these guys trying to make the Khiladi movies worse than they were? The first five Khiladi movies were really interesting and great to watch. I dont understand what they are trying to do with this movie. Akshay looks the same. Twinkle Khanna looks like she is a psycho from her expressions - the results of overacting. She does nothing good to the movie. Devraj (Akshay Kumar) is standing in court for murdering Payals (Twinkle Khanna) brother. She also accuses him for her izzat lootna. The flash back occurs in no time at all.
They are in love, sing songs as in usual Bollywood movies in only a small amount of time (The love of the computer age may be quick). Then her brother dies and she thinks he killed him and wants him in jail. Thats why they are in the court. The movie doesnt have a good enough story to tell. I can say only one word for this crap - boring.....boring.....
THAKSHAK, GAIR, JAANWAR, SANGHRSH, KOHRAM, PYAR KOI KHEL NAHIN, ZULMI, LAAWARIS and DILLAGI are some other headaches I had to bear.....The flops seems to be overcrowding in Bollywood.
