Inarguable, https://irctc.co.in website is worst site. Its good that they have increased the booking period to 120 days because it takes that much time to book a ticket. It is the only utility website which penalizes the users for using it. You book a ticket and have to pay extra for it. You use credit card or debit card or internet banking and railway takes commission from you. They are really enjoying the monopoly. Otherwise you use internet banking of any bank and you will save on transaction cost. The simple issue is that the banks are saving the processing cost. So is the railways but it is using its monopolistic situation to its benefit.
In fact, railways should compensate the travelers for wasting their time in the internet and electricity. A good joke, they say that by not taking a printout you save power but sit at least an hour before your PC ans waste electricity. I hope someone in railways is listening.
