I like fiverr and many others do the same. its one of the biggest platform there for getting jobs done at cheap price. many like me earn from that place.
BUT like other gig sites this site has many annoying features.
it has 100 employees but really irritating and non-existing support. 3 days passed not a single reply received from them.
what they charge as commission? 20% of a gig and this is good amount. well most other popular networks charge same except ODESK.
they think every other website link takes customer away from them. so I can’t mention my own website or demo/sample link > for them that means i/everyone am/is trying to directly make transaction and this means they lose commission. foolishness at best. narrow-mindedness at peak.
any buyer can contact seller via msg and their they can make direct deals. moreover these gigs sites sells lot of social networking gigs: likes/shares/followers/votes/seo of websites.
so once a customer got service he can make direct contact as he/she comes to know seller outside the fiverr.
even if you are not doing any such activity and if editors dislike they disapprove your gig.
they don’t give any reason . just automated answer pops up.
2nd sellers are always at disadvantage > 1 cancel order decrease rating and reputation of seller . it doesn’t matter if the whole fault was from buyer side.
then even MUTUAL CANCELLATION goes against seller.
3rd many buyers are absive and non-responsive causing misunderstanding and negative feedback.+ve or -ve feedback is abused by many buyers who blackmail sellers to deliver more and more at cheap price of 5$ > fiverr never listened of sellers pleas.
they are there milking their commission and sellers suffer.
mine gig was not only disapproved but also denied which had over 825+ views and 1 sale
when searched I found similar gigs to mine in description to video to WORK were active past 2 years without any problem.
their facebook page is as biased as their support > respond only to selective queries.
well as a webmaster I am forced to use their system to earn something but they take such things for granted.
there are more sites appearing and I hope they will do more justice to sellers
