Flechazo; a medeterr-Asian restaurant with buffet system, available all days of the week.
The ambience is very jolly, homely(meaning families with small kids, elderly people are seen more often). Not very spacious but properly maintained .
They have different section for different courses namely, starters, main course, side course, desserts .
Starters are served on your table by the waiters. I tried the non veg buffet.Starters included, fish cake( fish fillet cooked in banana leaf with mustard seeds), chicken shawarma, mutton sheek kabab, prawns koliwada, grilled prawns, peshawari tangdi and sushi as well.
Fish cake and prawns were the best. Sushi was good but in few of them wasabi was too much, so a no no for that.
They even had light weight snacks like Pahi puri, dahi puri, prawn mock tail, bhel puri, keema Pav and so on .
They didn’t have choices for drinks. Only one drink(mocktail was served). Italian starters included pizza and pasta .
Main course included few Bengali dishes because of upcoming Durga Puja season. Doi catla, mutton jhol, crab curry, byriani, chicken rezala. There were many varieties of salads as well.
Deserts included baked Mihi, gulab jamun, rasgulla, ice creams, pastries chocolate sticks and many more.
They had nitrogen icecreams which was something very innovative and different.
The prices were around 650 plus taxes for non-veg buffet. The food was totally worth it . Must visit if your a goody and like to indulge in variety of dishes at reasonable prices( that’s what buffers are meant for though)
One thing I really liked about the place was that there were many families who were there to celebrate their kids birthday or friends birthday . And during the cake cutting session there, the staff of flechazo use to spare their time and dance on a birthday song for every birthday girl or boy. It was really jolly .
