I had never thought I would be writing a negative review about Flipkart.But my recent transaction with them has forced me to write this review. I have received excellent service all this while from Flipkart and I am extremely happy with the earlier transactions apart from the recent one.
Alright, I ordered a book of Rs 577.00 last week and boom the same was delivered within 24 hours great service! kudos for that! Then starts the actual story........................
The book seems to be picked up from a Footpath vendor for half the cost and parceled the same by Flipkart, Such is the quality of the book looks shabby and the picture looks like was printed by diluted ink by adding water to it. And I found the same book is available at Rs 130.00 cheaper at other Online stores.
As I was unhappy, I tried calling the customer care and response is like this.
Call gets connected after trying for atleast 10 times (other 9 times it says All lines to this number is busy please try later).
When the line gets connected the Ivr says Thanks for calling Flipkart, a customer service executive will be with you shortly....... Tring.... Tring...and lots of Tring....Trings and then suddenly BEEP... BEEP... BEEP... the line gets disconnected.
I see my mobile and it says, Your last call duration was 3 min 11sec and the call charge is Rs 1.91 and this happened atleast for 9 times on the same day.So on an average I would have lost Rs.20 altogether which is fine with me.But who has the patience and time to try so many times to get a real person online which is frustrating.
At last I get a person called Mahendra Singh on the call and then starts the real fun... Hello Flipkart how may I help you? Hello are you there.......Blank ...Blank .............Blank............... ME: Yes hello I can hear you but not clearly so can you call me back and I provide my number and wait for around 20 minutes...Nothing happens.
After 20 minutes someone else called Mr. Gopal calls up and asks about the concern, And the worst part is This guy has a Habit of overtaking on the customer. And as he claims to be one of the manager and such a pathetic phone etiquette is unacceptable by a manager.
When explained about the Quality of the book, he confronts saying they cant do anything about that since they are only vendors and not publishers.But since I am dealing with a reputed company is it wrong for me to expect some responsibility on their part to provide quality merchandise!!!!
And for the price difference He claims that since different companies source books from different states and the taxes are different, so is the price difference. Hey is it my job or your job to make sure you source the right product at the right price.Ultimately a customer wants the best price to buy and all these I used to blindly believe in the prices on Flikart and in future I would be very much wary and cautious before ordering from Flipkart.
This is an absolute example on how the things can change and ccs become rude and abrupt as the volume of biz increases.
This is my personal and true experience I had with Flipkart and still respect the good reviews from other patrons on Mouthshut.
