After having a disastrous experience with an online shopping site, I explored Flipkart and placed my first order with them. I was glad to see a good online status tracking system after you place an order. Right from the procurement of the item by their sellers up to final delivery.
Each step is tracked and you get a good visibility. The customer care was slightly disappointing as there was no consistency and continuity of information shared with me when I had called second time for some clarifications. The info about the courier delivery person and his contact details were also SMSed to me on the day of delivery. (not sure if this is part of their process or a facility provided by the courier company).
Was glad to have received the product 1 day before the estimated delivery date! The packaging was neat and product was sealed as expected.
Overall a very good experience, however I am rating at 3 Stars for one important reason. There is no provision to interact with the actual seller, which I feel is important to get any technical queries or clarifications addressed, more specifically in case of electronic/computer items.
As an example, sometime info about processor, motherboard, RAM compatibility, Form Factors, accessories compatibility and any other related tech info is important to be known before taking purchase decision and certain details may not always be displayed upfront.
