I ordered a Toshiba laptop from flipkart on the 01/08/12 and was informed of the order being dispatched from flipkart, Chennai on 02/08/12. On the 04/08/12 I got a message from flipkart that product will be delivered by 7:00 PM. However, at 08:00 PM I got an update that customer was unavailable and delivery was not made. Amazed on reading such a false statement[i was waiting at my home all day], when I called upon flipkart; I was informed that the flipkart logistics has updated that customer had requested the delivery to be shifted to 06/08/12[Utterly false as no one contacted me throughout the day]. When I told them that this is entirely false, the customer support arrogantly said that we cant do anything all you can do is to wait for your order(certainly I had made a payment of 20777 in advance and cant do anything).
Extremely disgusting, I have been doing online shopping for last 3 years in India and never have seen such an unfriendly behavior from anyone. I am fine with them delivering late but how can someone issue false statements. This clearly implies that flipkart has grown too much that they are unable to either manage work or there employees.This is start of a downfall. At-least for me its my last order with them.
To all other customers I would suggest if you want to order, try other sites or only use cash on delivery at-least if the company like flipkart gives you a treatment like they did to me, you can simply send the product back giving them an equal treatment.
For me, I will wait for the delivery :-(
