Why Flipkart withdraw from FIR?

I have been literally forced by Flipkart to write this, which will reveal the hoax and fraudulent activities of Flipkart. After reading this every associated and aspiring seller on Flipkart will definitely think twice before selling their product on Flipkart anymore.


I have been through a horrible experience with them recently wherein the orders that I had dispatched through Ekart(a subsidiary logistic company of Flipkart) never were delivered to the customers and instead of returning the products back to me they were all stolen or lost.


We sell precious jewellery products on Flipkart by the brand name of Jacknjewel .It all started on 30th December when we received 18 orders from Flipkart and subsequently we had handed over the packed products to the Ekart team .Eventually all the orders were cancelled by the respective customers on the 4th day from the date of dispatch.


According to the Flipkart rules & regulations the returned or cancelled products takes maximum 20 days to reach the sellers. Out of those 18 dispatched orders I received two of them first which were diamond rings. And it was very usual activity for me to take the return packet and then check later. However after an hour when I opened the packets both were empty and ring box was all covered in dust.


I immediately called the logistic head to enquire about this and he gave me a great advice. His words were “Sir these things are very often in Flipkart and you do not need to worry just call the customer care number and claim your amount you will get the refund. I did the same and then in the following other packets were also returned out of which 12 of them came empty .Some had the packing unwrapped, some didn’t even had the packing cover, some had two packing slips attached in one but there was one thing very clear they all were dirty covered with dust and some had the outer packing rolled inside in the ring box.


I called the seller support team of Flipkart again and I asked for an investigation team to be appointed so that we can catch hold of the culprit. An officer from the Fraud and investigation team came to my office his name is Manoj Chaudhary and he came up with all the questions like a detective and I answered all of them. He analyzed every empty box and the CCTV footage and camera recordings that we took of the logistic people while they were handing the returned packets to us and the packets were opened in from of them. I have attached the video of the incident as well.


That investigation officer took almost 12 days’ time and yet he was not ready to accept that it was done by the Ekart people, he was merely trying to save his company’s reputation and cheat us .Our products of worth Rs.1.5 lakh is stuck with Flipkart for almost 3 months now .In fact what irked us a lot was that he asked us whether we had truly dispatched the rings in boxes or whether we had sent them empty boxes.


Later on then he decided to register an FIR for this issue and wanted to seek police help. I also gave him the confirmation to go for FIR and we he also assured us that the FIR will be lodged by Flipkart against the suspect from Ekart .On contrary of that he visited my office and he called the 100 number and reported them that there has been a robbery at my place. It was an act of conspiracy from him or act of dumbness, how can he even claim that the products were stolen at my office. That Flipkart representative tried to pressurize us by calling the police .The police arrived at our office and the police station SHO was also there. Once everything was conveyed to the SHO, he after verifying the details and proofs himself admitted that there is no point of complaining for this at our address as the product was lost form Ekart and a case should be filed at Ekart’s logistic hub. Even though as per our request he went on and registered the complaint as we wanted to solve this case .I have attached the copy of that complaint also and we gave the confirmation for the investigation to proceed. But the next day I found out that the case has been withdrawn by Flipkart and they are no more willing to register the FIR.


So what does the withdrawal of FIR indicates? Are the products still with Flipkart? Are they doing it on purpose with sellers like us? Till now there has been no response from either the Flipkarts Investigation team nor from their seller support.


Between all these nonsense and chaos we have not received the refund till now, we have wasted several hours talking with the seller support representative or either the Investigation person .We truly had the worst selling experience with Flipkart although we are selling our products on other marketplace like Snapdeal, Shopclues and Jabong as well but had never gone through such torrid time with any of them.


The withdrawal of the complaint completely indicates who the culprits are .The whole Flipkart system is just pathetic. Our claim is still pending with them.
