I had ordered a book from Flipkart(OD91221183979) for the first time and have had a harrowing experience. The link next to the book on the website said that the book wil be delivered in 3 business days. I ordered the book on the 21st of December and did not hear anything from flipkart people. Even the status against the order did not change, . Its been showing "Processing" since Day 1. Even after writing a mail to their support team, I did not get any response from them.
But then today, I had made a call to their centre in bangalore and was not given any satisfactory answer by their staff. The agent told that he will call back with the status.
He got back to me with the status after 4 hours, saying that the book will be couriered today! WTF is that? Your website says that the book will be delivered in 3 business days . and you are posting the book after 5 days?
I asked the agent to connect me to his senior. The senior guy told me that, he will look into the issue and get back to me in 10 minutes. But now I know that the entire FLIPKART team is not punctual at all, the senior did not call me back, and now when I try to contact their customer care, no one’s picking the damn phone . since their working hours are till 6.
Whats the use of advertising the number of days in which you will deliver the order, when you are not able to honour the same? Is it just for luring the customer .
FLIPKART guys just specify the number of days . but there is no SERVICE GUARANTEE! What if the book is not delivered in 3 business days? There is no answer to that! Just hollow excuses!
Flipkart, you may just dream of turning it into the next Amazon . but with this attitude you are not going anywhere! Yeah. maybe someone like Crossword, Landmark will buy you guys out!
P.S: After reading all these reviews at Mouthshut, I am scared of the quality of the book I will receive! Keeping my fingers crossed .

Friends. I had posted this feedback when Flipkart had just about started . and this was my first order with them.
Since then . they have come a long way .
Have placed a number of orders from them and received them on time!
They are among the very best now!
I would now rate them 5 stars in every department.
The only drawback now is that they don’t accept/offer discount coupons :(
