Though, it started and changed the rule of shopping and created the pathway for eCommerce Industries but my experience in last 1 year is disappointing, perhaps combination of high expectation, as it used to deliver and depletion in their service standard
The very decision of moving to Apps and offering more deals there was beginning of depletion in service series and followed by many more unilateral and customer insensitive decisions. Restricting better deals to Mobile Apps marked inflexibility, followed by adding all sort of seller on marketplace and a few of them knows nothing on service. The inability to recognize eCommerce potential and thus decision of not diversifying service portfolio to Wallet, Loyalty Programs or even Service domain extension may prove fatal
The Discount deals has reduced as well and newcomers like Paytm, Mobikwik is offering better deals.
All said, it is still leader but seems now a losing leader.Rather than creating history, it is becoming history and easily helping other companies to take larger role.
