Pathetic support from Flipkart. BBD is a flop show

If there was a negative rating I would have given to Flipkart.


I am a Plus Premium Member of Flipkart. Recently during the BBD sale, I made the biggest mistake of my life. I placed a mobile phone order Infinix GT10 Pro on 13-10-2023 with Flipkart.


And that is when the problem started.


Order was supposed to be delivered on 19-10-2023 . Then it got postponed to 25-10-2023. And now it is further postponed to 29-10-2023.


When contacted Flipkart support executives and escalations team, all they did was provide an update asking me to wait patiently as the matter has been escalated to backend team. Flipkart support executives are totally useless as they have no knowledge of current situation of the product.


The story does not end here. On 25-10-2023, I received a call from lady named Sangeeta who is from escalations team providing me the update that the order could not be delivered due to operational issues. What was the operational issue she did not clarify.


I argued with her that the order was placed during BBD time and I was getting bank discount as well as exchange discount. Now the price of the product has increased. Will she pay me the difference amount? She flatly refused requesting me to cancel the order and place it again and Flipkart will credit Rs 500 gift voucher in my account post delivery of new mobile order. I told her to go to hell and disconnected the call.


I asked Flipkart why should a customer care for Flipkart’s operational issues? He has made payment in advance and expects goods in return. One or two days delay is understood but don’t test the customer’s patience for too long. And after making customer wait for eternity you cancel the order citing operational or logistics issues. This is not at all acceptable.


From the above experience, I can vouch that Flipkart is not the same as it used to be earlier. Flipkart’s quality has degraded overtime. I am a customer since last 13 years and yet Flipkart still does not care about maintaining client relationship anymore.


I have also placed several other orders with Flipkart during BBD sale which are still not delivered and are stuck in transit.


I also ordered from Meesho. Though Meesho does not have its own logistics network I received products on time. Unfortunately, Meesho does not sell electronic goods.


Message to Flipkart CEO - Please sell off your business as Flipkart is having fulfilment issues and your ekart logistics is pathetic. Even contacting the support team is useless for problem solving.


I would like viewers to exercise discretion and caution while placing orders on Flipkart. The ecosystem is failing. BBD sale now looks like a scam. It has brought more sorrow than happiness to the customers.
