I ordered a Samsung laser multifunction printer scanner SCX-3201 via flipkart. The main reason was their price, which was lowest in the market. I kept waiting for the delivery but even after 5 days of successful payment their status showed "Processing". After a number of calls to their ustomer care I was told that they are in the process of procuring and will be shipped in coming days. Further on whatever they committed they did not keep their promise and I had to run after them for status.
With all this, one thing I realized that the price they quoted for the printer was not feasible at all. So what these guys seem to be doing is trying to project that they can provide at the lowest rate, although some of the price they quote they themselves know they cannot keep. And this was confirmed by the representative who called me to tell they are not able to procure this at this price, so cannot deliver. I said that I am ok is they take couple of weeks more, but he said no, they will not wait as they cannot procure at the quoted price. They went ahead and cancelled my order. I am waiting for my refund now.
Great business practice. You show to everyone that you sell at the lowest price, but when it comes to delivering, you take a call based on whether or not you can procure it at that price. So where is the commitment part?
I would rather go for straight forward dealers like ebay who at least deliver what they commit.
Just be cautious guys.
