A big-time SCAM is done by Flipkart as they try to sell the E gift cards. Well, I received an e gift voucher of 2000 on 29th of December 2017, it was all okay till 14th of June 2018, when the sender of the card miraculously could add up the amount to their own Flipkart wallet, with the help of Flipkart mobile app.
Though I got the updated pin, I could not use it since it was already added by them. Now when I reached out to Flipkart asking them to transfer it back to my account, as it is basically my money now post 29th December, no longer Flipkarts or the senders, they said its not possible as E Gift vouchers are always the property of the sender, and they can change it anytime every time. This is nowhere mentioned in their Flipkart E Gift voucher terms and conditions, but they just made it up since they will not give me back the amount.
Realistically speaking, had this been a physical gift, could anyone take back a gift after 6 months? Imagine you go to a birthday party, you give someone a gift, and 5-6 months later, you come back and snatch away the gift, would the law be with you, or would you be identified as a thief and lawbreaker and fraud? Similarly, the person who has added it back to the wallet has basically done a fraud, and mind you this has happened after 6 months almost, but Flipkart still supports the person, so Flipkart is running a fraudulent business with no genuine policies! They dont have any such policy written first and foremost anywhere on their website, now since the company is owned by billionaires they can change policies anytime I agree, but where is the justification? Where is the logic? Gone with the wind?
This is not expected from a big e-commerce site like Flipkart. I have been receiving e gift cards from various companies like Amazon, shoppers stop to name a few, and nowhere a sender owns the right to use a gift card after sending. This happens only in Flipkart, welcome to the other world of e-commerce lead by the Bansals, where only their weird laws, illogical policies which are nowhere mentioned works! Such an eye opener for a customer who has been loyally buying stuff every month every week, for the past 4 years!
I have complained on various sites, on Flipkart social media accounts too, they call me after every 10 days and tell me nothing is possible from their end. It has been 20 days, and they did not give me money back and they wont give it back too. Complaint incident numbers IN1806221909452438116 and IN1806271937563832223 were never closed till date.
Finally summing this review up, Flipkart is running a fraudulent business. This kind of unwritten unmentioned policies is only heard of when people run scams and are into swindling money. Every sensible citizen must, therefore, stay away from this e-commerce site, today they are cheating in the name of E Gift vouchers, tomorrow they will cheat in the name of products. As in the end, they have cash gained by looting customers, to cover up their fraudulent schemes after all!
