No Delivery commitments kept, very bad service

My order was out for delivery and I was committed over SMS by EKart and also over phone by delivery boy that it would be delivered today before 7 PM. I had to take off and wait whole day as there was nobody else at home to receive it.


The courier person kept disconnecting my calls and then switched off his phone. This is misbehavior and negligence in service.


They have failed to create a delivery service even after raising so much of investments. Its a shame on service delivery head to not able to setup the processes.


They can easily use technology with prediction modeling to gauge their service time.


When pizza is not delivered on committed time, its free. I wonder what Flipkart will do to its customers in such cases. Unless it start penalizing itself for negligence in service, it can not improve its services.


Buyer should seek to claim damages for poor service in legal way. Consumer court in India is very strong and should be able to penalize them to avoid such false commitments.
