Im a regular online shopper and have bought from flipkart several times, though mostly books. Encouraged by positive experience that I read online, I decided to make my first big purchase online from flipkart - a SAMSUNG GALAXY TAB 750 as a gift for my dad. I decided to buy from flipkart because I really adore their cute little advertisements. I placed the order on 9th Nov, order ID OD11109110797. I received it promptly within 2-3 days, as promised. And thats where the problem began.
When I opened the package, I realised that there was a very big scratch on the centre of the screen. I dont know what caused the scratch, but it is very big and prominent. I think improper handling of the shipment might have caused this scratch. So, I raised a ticket via email. I received a reply mail that some one will contact me within 24 hours about this problem. But no one did.
After 2 days, they mailed me that they were unable to contact me and needed an alternate contact number. I was very surprised since my phone was working all time and I didnt miss any calls. Anyway, I gave them another number. They told me that someone will get in touch with me. But no one did.
I called up the customer several times, but they were not ready to forward my call to the technical team. One customer care executive told me that I need to send them pics of the defective product. So, I clicked 2-3 pics and sent it to them. They said that theyve received the pics and someone will get in touch with me. But no one did.
I reminded them again to get in touch with me. They said they need alternate contact number. I gave them all the numbers I have. They said theyll get in touch with me. But no one did.
Then I reminded them once again. Once again the same thing happened. And once more. And whenever I call them up on the customer care, they say that they are unable to do anything - that theyve forwarded my request to the technical team who will get back to me within 24 hours, but no one from flipkart has called me even once.
I am really frustrated. Flipkart was the poster boy of the growing e-commerce in India, but I didnt expect such a poor service from them. Im really disappointed. I think that now that theyve grown so big, they dont care for their customers anymore.
My Rs.32, 000 gone waste. I will never shop with them again. Will you?
