Misleading offers

Festival offer of 10% discount for purchases on SBI cards was shown on the home page. When I started to explore further it showed that minimum purchase should be Rs.3000/- It has not shown that it will be available on purchase of specific products. I made a selection of grocessory and kitchenware items and about to checkout. When it has not shown any discount I contacted Customer Care. I specifically enquired whether the items selected by me are entitled for discount. He has gone through the list of items selected and confirmed that I am entitled to get the discount. When I told him that discount is not reflecting, he told me to go ahead with purchase and claim for the discount by raising an issue and it would be refunded. Accordingly I have gone ahead and made the payment. When I raised an issue some one from flipcart contacted and clarified that the discount is not extended to the items purchased by me. I reiterated that I made the purchase only after having it confirmed by the customer executive now how they can say that I would not be entitled.


Thereafter I received another call stating there was no offer on SBI Card. I rejected their explanation. I received another call third time and was told that I made a purchase of around Rs.1800 and hence not eligible. When I told them about the purchase of grocery items in the same order they verified and came back confirming the purchase o Rs.3086/-. After a few minutes they came up with a plea that one item purchased by me for Rs.100/- is not eligible hence the purchase has come down to 2986/- falling Rs.3000/- hence I am not eligible. When I raised a question that why your customer has not informed me when he has gone through the entire list of items I have selected they could not says anything except apologising for the inconvenience. In order to make my purchase Rs.3000/- and above, I have purchased certain of the items which I actually do not require.


It appears they are trying to find one reason or other in order to establish that I am not entitled for the discount. Very bad experience. I do not recommend to any one to deal with FLIP CART.
