Last week when I was browsing the Mouthshut, I came to know the site named flipkart.com. I like to buy books and tried different online sites like indiaplaza.in, infibeam.com, landmarkonnet etc. I was satisfied with all these sites. The feedback score is very high for flipkart so I thought I must visit the site at least once.
Browsing the Page
The site is not at all well designed. The books are not classified properly. The buyer like me who buy books by browsing the site will not feel easy in this site. Landmarkonnet(the eshop of Landmark) scores very high here. Basically most of the time I browse book there and buy from other site as Landmarkonnet’s price(mainly shipping chargees are high). But where flipkart definately scores is, their very easy login process. Just give a email(that too need not to be validated) and password and that all. The collection is good. I searched for number of books and they have listing for these.
Prices and Charges
If your cart contains worth Rs 100 or more then there is no shipping cost. It is free. Basically it is the second best part.(I will come to best part afterwards). What I have found that compared to the other sites the price is a little bit more. For example in Infibeam shipment is free for all items but still their price is more or less same compared to flipkart. In Indiaplaza there are slab for the shipping charges depending on the number of books. I found the the book price is lowest among the all. Lowest adding the shipping charges too but the difference is not too much. I f you buy number of books then Indiaplaza will be definitely cheaper.
Billing
While billing they will redirect you to ccavenue with Axis bank payment gateway. They accept all type of payment method including Cheque/draft. So online payment are safe and have number of options.
Delivery
Now this is the best part. I ordered a book on thrusday night and got the book on saturday morning(I am from Kolkata and bangalore and kolkata are far apart). The fastest delivery I ever got from any online shopping site. Packaging was OK. Before that I used to get quickest delivery(I thought it was) from Infibeam and indiaplaza was the slowest. In terms of packaging Infibeam is the best.
Overall with my first shopping with flipkart I am happy. But again, my experienced them for only once and seems that service is good. I always believe that when something goes wrong then only one can get to know the service but still it is good and hope will be in future.
