I ordered an Intex bluetooth speaker with order id OD114361888356441000, which I received on 8.1.19. When I opened the packing, I found that the seal of the box of the item was broken. The box itself was mutilated and old. This raised to my suspicion that an old item has been pushed. Then I noticed that the warranty seal on the item is also broken/tampered with. and the fitting of the front mesh of the speaker was not proper. To top everything, there was no option of refund, only replacement.
I think, Flipkart has resorted to making money by tying up with such suppliers who supply defective or repaired old item, and in the process earn good margin. A win-win for both Flipkart and the vendor!
All my emails and complaints had sugar coated responses with false promises ever since. I received couple of calls asking me to courier the item. I refused saying why should I take the pain for their fault. They seem to be buying 10 days time so that even a replacement option could be denied.
I had to send a notice of settlement failing which I shall approach Consumer Court.
