This review is in relation to my purchase experience of a book titled "The Management Consultant: Mastering the Art of Consultancy, by Richard Newton, Pearson(20100318) [paperback]". Although I purchased the book from somewhere else other than Flipkart.com, this review is to help people make informed decisions regarding their potential purchases from Flipkart.com - a major online retail portal in India.
I was planning to order this book from Flipkart.com(@Rs. 1721 - price quoted on April 18, 2013), but I was shocked(but delighted) to buy a brand new copy from a local bookstore at just Rs. 499 today(April 18, 2013).by the way the book I purchased is an imported edition as well from the same publisher as the one available in Flipkart!
So, I am feeling lucky that I did not end up paying 245% more for something that might have taken 15-20 days to reach me.
Is this is the end of online shopping for me?. I don’t think so.but Flipkart.com.I’ll see if they are any better than others:-)
Hope this review helps other consumers to evaluate products from online portals like Flipkart.com with objectivity in order to maximize their own utility.
