I ordered three toys and a book. Soon after placing the order I received an email from flipkart saying that it was to be sent in 3 parts on 3 different days. This is certainly not advisable as the customer doesnt want to be bothered time and again for a one time placed order! An option should be given during the payment process if the customer wants it one time or doesnt mind if it comes in parts. Because everyone isnt in a hurry( I mean the very next day) to receive their order! Even a two day wait is fine if it comes once and for all.
Anyways, to my surprise, contrary to their email, my order got delivered all on one day, but 3 different times and obviously in 3 different packages. What a waste of cardboard and packing material. This added to the waste at home!
Overall, flipkart, I must say that in the pressure of being efficient kindly add some organisation to your delivery sense and think of us who have to attend to delivery personnel thrice a day or on 3 separate days! Please give us a choice.
Additionally too many messages at every step gets mentally tiring. I too as most others do not recommend buying electronics. But for toys and books thumbs up from me.
Placing the order online took lesser time than the long drawn tiresome delivery receiving process!
